About khukuri history

18" reproduction of the old age period of probably 18-19th century, most probably carried during the time of Kaji Amar Singh Thapa “A legend for his bravery” in the history of Nepal. A gentle reproduction with all the original technicalities inherited giving historic looks for the carrier. A tribute paid with due respect.

About khukuri blade & scabbard

The blood groove is a single fuller with metal hilt with round metals for good shape and handling. The distinctly curved blade is aggressive for sharp and gentle blows. For powerful cuts and stabs this khukuri is a good choice so perhaps "Kaji Amar Singh Thapa" had carried this khukuri and fought many battles. The metal handle is a good grip for users to dance this long blade with stunning swirls with guard preventing the palms from falling. Traditionally this khukuri was carried on the chest instead of weaving around the waist but this reproduces can be carried on the waist.

The scabbard is traditionally woven from Ganjawal leather with two metal buttons and belt loops giving the aesthetic looks. Accompanied by high-quality Karda and Chakmak this legendary khukuri is a great masterpiece and state of the art fusions.
