This is a 12 Inch Panawal Angkhola Khukuri. This has a hand forged razor sharp blade with good cutting edge. It is a hunting type of khukuri & has a heavy blade that easily splits the bigger log of wood.
The handle is well balanced that perfectly fits the fists that delivers more strength while chopping. The blade can be used to chop wood, meat, bushes etc.
two small knives namely Karda & Chakmak. Karda is a small sharp knife which can be used to cut small woods, dig holes, skinning out animals. Similarly, we have Chakmak that can be used for honing the blade and produce sparks .
Karda and Chakmak produced by GGK is of high quality as they are too made from leaf spring blade compared to others serving the very purpose.

Outstanding khukuri and amazing value for the price, I have two other khukuris by different makers in the 800-900g range and this one here turned out to be the best chopper, very sturdy blade. Fit and finish are excellent and it’s also the straightest and most symmetrical khukuri I own. Thanks Purna!

Hi! I am 54 biologist from Croatia interested to get my first khukuri experience. After I saw many videos, I found this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3PF7zcTNFE and I decided to order khukri from this blacksmith. I had some doubts about size and price as I don’t have a lot of money. So I asked questions about several models via facebook. Communication was easy and I made my decission. It would cost me something but I was hoping to get a real stuff and a big pleasure. The web site was great and payment via web site was easy and the delivery was surprisingly fast. Everything was smooth. I was worried that this khukuri would be too heavy for me but now I am happy with my order. It is strong as I wanted but not too heavy for me. So don’t be affraid to order any smaller model as it is easy to handle. My khukuri really looks great. Full tan, handle with hole for string (paracord), not too heavy and magnificent blade for cutting branches. I cut through a dried branch of a lilac wood, 2 inches in diameter just to get the feeling of it and it was done easily. There was no sign of cutting on the blade and the branch was hard even for my new saw. I can’t be more satisfied. I don’t plan to use it for so heavy stuff, just for cutting green branches in future. For bigger or dried branches i can use a saw, but nice to know what this piece can do without problem. My message to the blacksmith: Thank you dear sir! You’ve made my day! And it arrived in my hands just on my birthday!
