Product Description : This is a 21” Sirupate khukuri . The upper trunk is raw black finished to prevent rusting and corrosion specially designed by GGK.
“Sirupate” originated from “Siru” a local needle shaped long grass is a heavyweight khukuri with slender shape stout blade for powerful cuts. Though heavy and long GGK has made in modern form with less agile that achieves a commanding, refined balance delivering massive controlled power when the energy is put into swings. GGK has made the blade more slender,modified bolster to hand-guard and a thinner spine to boot with more agility, greater tip speed and less cutting resistance.
Historically Rai’s and Limbu’s of eastern region of Nepal carry this khukuri for jungle works. With its sleekness and sturdily built blade this khukuri can be used for cutting, splitting , slicing , hacking along with sabotaging. It is a dependable khukuri that has the versatility to go anywhere and a full tang handle is helpful to crack down any hard substances that comes fore. The khukuri comes in traditional design black scabbard with potholes for karda and chakmak. Both karda and chakmak made by GGK are of high quality as made from leaf spring iron. Karda is a small sharp knife to cut small woods, dig holes, skinning out animals, whittling twigs etc. Chakmak is used for honing the blade and producing sparks for fire.
